Are 347 taxes and fees too much or too few to run Connecticut's government?

Posted by Tim Ackert on October 8, 2010 at 11:29 AM

I know from experience there are too many taxes and fees in Connecticut. I watch as businesses close their doors for good or move to a business friendly state. As those businesses are lost so are the jobs needed to keep or families here in Connecticut. Our children are graduating college and have few options for employment. Connecticut ranks last in job creation in the nation for the past twenty years.

Do you think Connecticut’s high cost of doing business has a negative impact in its poor economy? I know as a business owner it does.

If we continue government as usual we will sit by and watch businesses leave, jobs dwindle and families suffer.

Connecticut is burdened with far too many taxes. We are taxed far to heavily. Things are so bad that there is literally not enough money in our society to pay any more taxes. I truly fear for the future of our state and this country because of our financial condition.

That is why I decided to do something, to get involved, and that is why I support Tim Ackert. We need people who will behave as statesmen, not politicians. Tim is a statesman.
